The promotion of the second issue of Artdiverzija, the publishing project of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro, was held at Kruševac Park. The magazine serves as an important platform for presenting contemporary artistic production, theoretical reflections, and the Museum’s institutional activities.
Speaking about the new issue, Dr. Vladislav Šćepanović, Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro, expressed his satisfaction with the continuity of the project, emphasizing that Artdiverzija represents both a chronicle of the institution’s work and a space for promoting artists, curators, and contemporary art theorists.
Šćepanović highlighted that, within a relatively short period, the magazine has become an important representative tool of the Museum, contributing to its visibility throughout the region and Europe. He particularly noted that the Museum’s publishing activities, including Artdiverzija, were among the key factors that helped the Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro become one of the eight finalists selected by the European Museum Academy.
“Artdiverzija has demonstrated how a high-quality publication can contribute to the promotion of an institution and strengthen its international reputation. The interest shown by museums across the region confirms its significance and relevance,” said Šćepanović.
He also announced plans for the magazine’s further development through an increased print run and improved distribution, as well as the continuation of activities related to the construction of the new building of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro.
Graphic designer Aleksa Tomović spoke about the magazine’s design concept, highlighting its bilingual format and carefully structured layout, which enables readers to navigate the content with ease.
Tomović emphasized that special attention was devoted to the relationship between photography and text, resulting in clarity, visual balance, and a high-quality reading experience.
Editor-in-Chief Vuk Vuković presented the content of the new issue, noting that this edition features significant theoretical texts, interviews, and critical reviews dedicated to some of the most important exhibitions organized by the Museum in recent years. He sees the inclusion of renowned regional authors and theorists as one of the magazine’s greatest strengths, further contributing to the development of contemporary art discourse in Montenegro.
Vuković emphasized that the magazine continues to foster dialogue between artistic practice and theory, making contemporary art more accessible to a broader audience while also creating opportunities for the involvement of new authors and researchers in future editions.
The second issue of Artdiverzija has been published in both Montenegrin and English, making its content accessible to domestic and international audiences alike.
The magazine’s editorial team consists of Vuk Vuković, Maša Vlaović, Teodora Nikčević, and Aleksa Tomović.
