An exhibition by artist Katarina Tomašević Crawford titled “With the Wind in Her Hair”, curated by Marina Čelebić, has opened at the House of the King’s Guard
The exhibition presents a cycle of portraits and stylized figures through which, as curator Marina Čelebić pointed out, the artist “explores the inner layers of identity through wire, clay, and light installations.” She emphasized that the sculptures convey “the beauty of imperfection, introspective moments, and emotional depth.”
Speaking about the artistic process itself, Čelebić stated that “each work is a dialogue between material and emotion, between craft tradition and contemporary artistic expression,” adding that the sculptures “connect past and present, craft and contemporary language, stillness and movement, creating a space in which emotion transforms into material.”
A special segment of the exhibition is the sculpture of the same name, “With the Wind in Her Hair,” created specifically for this display. As Čelebić highlighted, it is a large-scale sculpture “partly installed on the roof of the gallery,” further expanding the exhibition space and its visual experience.
In conclusion, the curator stated: “May this exhibition inspire you and encourage your own reflection.”
The exhibition will be open to visitors until May 30, 2026.
