Oneiric-Landscapes

The exhibition Oneiric Landscapes has opened at the Gallery of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro, bringing together works by a younger generation of artists – Lidija Martinović, Stefan Bošković, Dušan Đukić, and Marko Dumnić.

The exhibition is the result of their shared artistic dialogue and exploration of the motif of the oniric, or dreamlike, landscape. Through a variety of media and techniques, such as oil and acrylic on canvas, watercolor, pastel, drawing, as well as sculptures in ceramics, metal, stone, and wood, the artists construct visual spaces that move between reality and imagination.

As curator Marina Čelebić said at the opening, despite differences in their individual expressions, the artists are united by a close visual and poetic sensibility.

“Space and landscape in their works breathe with personal emotions, while every detail carries an intimate and thoughtful experience,” Čelebić emphasized, adding that her collaboration with these artists confirmed their maturity and dedication to their artistic vocation.

The works explore the relationship between the figurative and the abstract, drawing on emotional and intuitive experiences, thereby shaping layered and evocative landscapes of a dreamlike character.

With this exhibition, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro continues its practice of supporting and promoting emerging artists who have already achieved notable results on both the national and international scene.

The exhibition Oneiric Landscapes will be open to visitors until April 30, 2026.
