Exhibition ``Night Sky`` by Tijana Gordić Opens at The House of The King's Guard

Exhibition: Tijana Gordić “Night Sky”

Gallery: The House of the King’s Guard
Duration:: January 30. – February 28, 2025.

The exhibition Night Sky by academic painter Tijana Gordić was officially opened at the House of The King’s Guard of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro

The artist presents a series of works created between 2023 and 2024, exploring themes of geometric harmony, astral landscapes, and metaphysical spaces.

As exhibition curator Natalija Đuranović highlighted, Gordić creates dynamic and multilayered paintings that immerse viewers in a meditative process: “Through visual kaleidoscopes, she simultaneously explores the connection between light, sound, and geometry, creating rich and layered representations of the universe.”

In her works, the artist uses a variety of materials such as glitter, holographic foils, and acrylic paints, experimenting with textures and depth. Her works draw inspiration from ancient Middle Eastern cultures and the aesthetic principles of Art Nouveau, resulting in compositions that reflect universal principles of existence.

Natalija Đuranović further emphasized: “In Gordić’s works, colors and sounds intertwine, creating visual metaphors that invite introspection. Her works function as visual records of the cyclical and dynamic nature of existence, relying on the symbol of the spiral as a key motif of the connection between life and artistic expression.”

Tijana Gordić graduated in Painting in 2009 from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje, where she is currently pursuing her master’s studies. Since 2010, she has been a member of the Association of Visual Artists of Montenegro, and since 2018, she holds the status of an independent artist. She has organized 11 solo exhibitions in Montenegro and the region and participated in numerous group exhibitions in France, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Greece. She has received numerous awards for her artistic work.

The Night Sky exhibition will be open to visitors until February 28, 2025.
