The Art Collection of Non-Aligned Countries Laboratory is a project initiated in March 2022 by a team of curators and conservators, namely Anita Ćulafić, Marina Čelebić, Nada Baković, and Natalija Vujošević. The project activities revolve around the collection of Non-Aligned art, aiming to develop contemporary research and archival artistic practices and implement them in the institution’s artistic and educational programs. This program aims to foster ongoing activities that would contribute to historicization, new interpretations, and the renewal of international communications and exchanges nurtured by the collection.

The project intertwines research, educational, and curatorial practices and has achieved numerous collaborations with international institutions, researchers, artists, and curators. Notable lectures have been given by art historians Bojana Piškur, Bojana Videkanić, Andreja Hribernik, Vjera Borozan, Jelena Vesić, artists Ana Hoffner ex-Prvulović, Sem Durant, and activist and curator Majd Nasrallah.

The project has curated and co-curated numerous exhibitions such as:
– “The Collection as Constellation” (in collaboration with curator Bojana Piškur, Botanical Garden, 2022),

– “Can We Try Again? Contemporary Art of Bolivia” (in collaboration with Vjera Borozan, Petrović Palace, 2022/23),
– “Spiritual Decolonization” (in collaboration with artist Ana Hoffner ex-Prvulović),
– “Solidarity Future Collections” (in collaboration with the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Koroška and curators Andreja Hribernik and Katarina Hergold Germ, Koroška Gallery, Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia, 2022/23),
