Ana Simona Zelenović is an art historian and curator based in Belgrade, Serbia. In 2021, she was appointed as the art director and head curator of Galerija Novembar, Belgrade.
Zelenović holds a Bachelor of Arts (2015) and Master of Arts (2017) in art history from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy and a Master of Arts (2019) in gender studies from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Political Science. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy in the Department of Art History. Her thesis investigates the history of feminist performance art in former Yugoslavia and Serbia. In her practice, she uses an intersectional feminist approach to investigate, analyze, and curate art, focusing on feminist and queer aesthetics and culture. In collaboration with various feminist organizations, she curates exhibitions that explore and concentrate on the position and representation of women, gender, and sexuality.
She is co-founder of SELFI Magazine, an annual print journal dedicated to women artists, and a contributing writer for Numéro Berlin.
