MORNING IN THE MUSEUM PARK – EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP WITH ARTIST JOVAN MILOŠEVIĆ
On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 10 AM, an educational workshop with artist Jovan Milošević will be held in the MCAM park.
The work “Origins” by artist Jovan Milošević is featured in the park as part of the “Montenegro Today” exhibition, within the segment “Landscape Observing Us / Art About Nature, In Nature, Against and In the Name of Nature.”
This work represents an intervention in public space that connects trees with a product resulting from the exploitation of wood—in this case, thermal rolls used for printing fiscal receipts, which are an indispensable part of our daily lives.
With this gesture, the artist makes visible two parallel versions of the landscape, reminding us of the complex circulation and exploitation of raw materials leading to the overproduction of surpluses primarily aimed at sustaining the capitalist system.
The artist will work with workshop participants to expand the intervention in the park and discuss the ideas behind the work and the relationships in nature that it explores.
The workshop will be led by museum educator Danijela Stjepčević Laušević and curator Natalija Vujošević and is intended for ages 6 and up.
