Bojana Piškur- Crvena podloga sa crnim tekstom

On Tuesday, September 24th at 6:00 PM in the MSUCG Gallery, as part of the accompanying program for the exhibition Echoes of the Non-Aligned: Gifts and Returns, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition and a conversation with Slovenian art historian and curator Bojana Piškur.

The discussion will focus on the concept and process behind Sam Durant’s exhibition, the connection between contemporary art and history, and experimental approaches to working with museum collections.

The conversation will be led by the exhibition’s curator, Natalija Vujošević.

Bojana Piškur works as a curator at the Museum of Modern Art in Ljubljana. Her work primarily relates to the Yugoslav and post-Yugoslav context, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the issue of the “East,” particularly in relation to art and culture. Since 2019, she has curated and co-curated a series of exhibitions titled Southern Constellations, which were showcased at the Museum of Modern Art in Ljubljana (2019), Gwangju in South Korea (2020), Filodrammatica Gallery in Rijeka (2021), the Center for Contemporary Art in Podgorica (2022), the National Opera and Ballet organized by the “Faculty of Things That Can’t Be Learned” in Skopje (2022), and The Mosaic Rooms gallery in London (2023). The latest exhibition in the series is titled Constellations of Multiple Wishes: Along the Eastern Horizon, currently on display at the Museum of Modern Art in Ljubljana in 2024.
