The Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro announces the promotion of the catalog accompanying the exhibition “Worker’s Club: Between Us,” which is currently on display at the MCAM Gallery and will run until February 28, 2025.

The promotion will take place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 18:00, at the MCAM Gallery. The event will feature a conversation between Teodora Nikčević, the curator of the exhibition, and Nela Gligorović, one of the project’s authors.

The catalog includes an interview with the authors Adriana Gvozdenović and Nela Gligorović, conducted by exhibition curator Teodora Nikčević, in which they discuss key issues related to collective work, public spaces, and contemporary conditions of cultural production. Exploring ideas of solidarity and community, the exhibition addresses working conditions in the arts, while the space itself is designed as an interactive workers’ club, open for the exchange of knowledge and experiences among all participants.

The authors of the project emphasize the importance of questioning institutional hierarchies and socio-political relations that shape contemporary art. The discussion in the catalog raises fundamental questions about what defines public space and how it can be challenged through artistic practices.
