As emphasized by the editors, Nela Gligorović and Adrijana Gvozdenović, this publication represents a joint effort to map the complexity of artistic work, relying on the strength of research, curatorial, and artistic perspectives.

“By bringing voices together, our intention is to expose the challenges of the system of multiple exploitation that shapes artistic work and to rethink work in art by considering the transformative potential of art toward a fairer future.”

In addition to the editors, the speakers at the promotion included Katja Praznik, Violeta Kachakova, and Vladan Jeremić.

The graphic design of the magazine was created by Ivana Vujošević, while the translation was done by Jovana Đurčević, Vanja Vukićević Garić, and Danilo Alagić. The accompanying program and publication of the magazine Between Us: Work in Art were co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro (Ž-Space) and the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Southeast Europe (Teorema).

On the topic of work in art, the editors brought together the following authors: the undercurrent collective, Ana Vujanović, Katja Praznik, Jelena Fužinato, Rena Raedle & Vladan Jeremić, Ivana Vaseva & Violeta Kachakova, Vesna Vuković, Fokus Group, Vijai Patchineelam, and Valentina Desideri.

The exhibition Workers’ Club: Between Us is open at the MCAM Gallery until February 28, 2025.
