The Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro invites you to the promotion of the exhibition catalogue “Departments of Poetry: Paper, Mirror, Photography” by renowned Croatian artist Vlado Martek, one of the key figures of post-avant-garde art in the former Yugoslavia and beyond.

The promotion will take place on Thursday, April 17, at 6 PM at the Gallery of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro.

The exhibition curators, Neva Lukić and Teodora Nikčević, will speak at the event. They designed the exhibition in the spirit of Martek’s transmedial approach and poetic subversion.

The catalogue, as an important document of Martek’s decades-long artistic practice, follows works created from his earliest phases to contemporary cycles, encompassing pre-poetry, visual poetry, agitations, photographs, assemblages, and performative actions.

The exhibition will remain open until April 30, 2025.

The exhibition is supported by the City Office for Culture and Civil Society of the City of Zagreb and the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia.
